Kadiria ("we", "us", "our") operates the website kadiria.co.ke (and any subdomains). We provide free tax calculators and reference information for Kenyan individuals and businesses. We are not affiliated with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) or any government agency.

Kadiria itself does not set any tracking cookies. We use sessionStorage (a built-in browser feature) only to remember which calculator tab you wanted to open when you click a link from our Tax Guide to the Calculators page. This value is cleared as soon as the tab opens and is never transmitted to any server.
However, third-party services on our site — specifically Google AdSense — do set cookies. See the next section.

Google is a third-party vendor that uses cookies to serve ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and the approximate country users come from. GA4 sets cookies and collects anonymised device and interaction data. It does not identify you personally, and we never link analytics data to any values you enter into the calculators.
You can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by using browser-level tracking protection (Brave, Firefox strict mode, Safari), or by declining cookies through a browser extension of your choice. Because we do not store your personal or financial information, there is nothing about you to leak. The site is served over HTTPS to protect the data in transit between your browser and our server.
Kadiria is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has interacted with our site in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will assist.
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, Kenyan residents have the right to be informed about how their personal data is used, to access that data, to correct inaccuracies, and to object to certain processing. If you are visiting from outside Kenya, please be aware that this site is operated from Kenya and any information processed by us or our advertising partners may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.
